Who is to Blame: Is it users of SEO products or is it Google?

I admit. Prior to learning about SEO tools and site optimization business, I was of the opinion that Google was incredible. I Googled anything from human beings, to pictures, to articles to odd things and blindly trusted the findings. Then I found out about SEO products and a separate industry dedicated to Web promotion, and my convictions were never the same. But even prior to my discovery, after doing a bit of reflective analysis, I got a feeling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and share with the users a tiny portion of that.

My Google travails soon persuaded me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the help of Digg I can access quality news coverage without the need to rummage through Google SERPs (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and human search is best administered by Facebook. It seems that when I look for odd things on Google, the results are often inaccurate, to put it mildly. Try searching for SEO software and other SEO connected themes on Google and you are almost ready to give up your patience. I mean, seriously, what’s the connection between SEO programs and online education websites or Web casinos? Turns out in my frustrations.

So when news of seo software review and the entire field built around it came into my humble worldview, my suspicions about domains popping up on first page of Google increased manifold. Do they merit to show up on there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO programs. The ethical dilemma is immense. Do I quit using my SEO google ranking or do I quit using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not until the decent contender enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue using my SEO applications.

Frankly, SEO apps is the reason why folks like myself get discovered on the web. Sophisticated as they are, Google search algos are not likely to find some random guy and index his domain highly. In this respect, I am a firm admirer of SEO products and non-paid search. If it was all about the money, the multinational giants would squish me before I knew it. And there are hundreds of businesses on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that annoys me and other backlinks checker users, I am confident. There are individuals who purchase SEO apps and use them to sell dresseson employment sites and the like. What we see is junk that not only exists on the Internet but is also well positioned by search engines.

What is the user reaction to this? They Google SEO product reviews and will instead find junk content. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this indicate that SEO application and service field is harmful? Probably not.

The abusers of SEO apps need to stop bastardizing the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop cracking the code. The sad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the opportunity to be noticeable on the Internet that is given to the no-name person like myself. For now users just have to treat them. We can only wish that Google will put more effort into catching the schemers abusing SEO tools, and if Google doesn’t, the new Google will.
